In the Western world, we are so consumed with finding our purpose in life. All the coaches tell us to find your purpose and you’ll live happily ever after! If only that were true.

There’s no happily ever after you find your purpose don’t be fooled.

Besides, that and a much bigger question is how are you helping others by living your purpose? You reached the top of your dreams and how is the world a better place because of it?

I am simply asking a question how are you contributing to the better life in this world for others? Take this guy who’s written a book called Above the Clouds by Kilian Jornet. He is an amazing guy who runs massive mountains fast. He says:

This guy has a point! What’s the point of all your achievements if it mounts up to nothing? What’s the point of you beating a world record and the world is the same or worse? People are still killing Muslims because of their religion. People are still starving. There are people around the world that cannot read or write. How’s your achievement help others? It’s a question we don’t ask ourselves.

It doesn’t matter how famous or amazing achievements you’ve got; what matters is what you do with it. If you put it on your shelf it’s great and what?! By no means I do not minimise the importance of how hard it is to achieve something. All I am saying is people are too consumed with themselves and their purpose in life that often forget the others in the world.

What can we do? How can I be better and do better? I am not famous. I don’t have huge resources to suddenly help others. I am just one tiny person with no influence of any kind in this big world. What can I do? I cannot possibly take on the…
